David Rogers Photos @ Bega Valley Regional Gallery TARMAC

I am completely thrilled to announce that I've been invited to showscase my first solo exhibition at TARMAC, Bega Valley Regional Gallery's (BVRG) new exhibition space at Merimbula Airport.

TARMAC is a new commercial pop-up space operated by BVRG located within the new airport terminal. BVRG's vision is to provide local artists with a high-visibility venue for exhibitions of new work that promote their careers and endeavours within the local community and beyond.

My goal as a photographer has always been to capture the spectacular landscape of the Sapphire Coast in its most truly unique and beautiful attitudes. I do this by watching the local landscape closely over time in order to understand how each location reacts under different environmental conditions, whether it be the seasons, the light, swell-size, tide-levels, wind direction or cloud patterns.

The below gallery shows the photos I will be showcasing at TARMAC. I have chosen this collection as it contains images you could see from an aircraft either arriving or departing the incredible Sapphire Coast.

I hope these photographs excite travellers when arriving, or that they provide a fond lasting memory on departure.

The exhibition runs from November 2019 to March 2020.

All framed images are available for purchase at Merimbula Airport, or as prints from my website David Rogers Photography

A special thank you to BVRG Director, Iain Dawson for inviting me to showcase my photography and also for supporting Sapphire Coast artists through this fantastic new initiative, TARMAC.
